KATE SWAFFER
International Speaker

Kate Swaffer is the 2017 South Australia, Australian Of The Year, a humanitarian, an activist and international speaker and a widely published academic and author. She has a Masters of Science in Dementia Care (2014) and is a retired nurse. She is the current Chair, CEO and co-founder of the Dementia Alliance International, a PhD student at the University of Wollongong, a full member of the World Dementia Council, and Regional Ambassador for SE Asia and a board member of Alzheimer’s Disease International.

CHEN SHILING
Resident Physician, Geriatrics Department, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital

Dr Chen Shiling is a physician with special interests in dementia and adults with intellectual disability. She is deeply passionate about improving the lives of both populations, and is currently working with Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Tsao Foundation in providing care for persons with dementia. She is also the founder of “Happee Hearts Movement”, which advocates and provides for the medical needs of adults with intellectual disability.

EVELINE SILVA
Senior Psychologist, Department of Neurology, National Neuroscience Institute (NNI)

Ms Eveline Silva has more than 10 years of experience in helping patients and caregivers manage dementia. As a team member of the Cognitive Assessment and Rehabilitation unit (CARe) at the NNI Memory clinic, Ms Silva conducts neuropsychological assessments to facilitate diagnosis. She also provides counselling and cognitive Stimulation for patients with complaints of cognitive impairment. This comes under NNI’s Cognitive Enhancement Programme.
